Visitors from the North!

We had delightful experience last week--visitors from the North.  Laurie drove her beautiful Dodge Camper Van from Michigan to visit the Winchester Quilt Block Trail!  She stopped in Frisco, Texas to pick up her friend Sally and they headed to Winchester.  They had a wonderful day, driving the Trail in the Winchester Area.  Margaret was thrilled to find the ladies at her gate.  After a nice chat, they headed to Zilss Hall where they could see another dozen blocks hanging on the walls.  They were having a blast!  After lunch at Murphys, they were headed to LaGrange to see the mural on the wall of the Quilt Museum.  They were spending the night in Buescher Park and then heading home with lots of quilt blocks floating in their heads!

I had such a wonderful day working on my quilt block. First of all the drive there is so relaxing and if you keep your eyes open you will see loads of quilt blocks along the way on fences, houses, barns, etc.
There are a lot of pattern choices for you to choose from. I knew immediately when I saw the pattern that was for me on that day. The ladies are so helpful and positive. I just lost myself in the work. I have a stressful job and I just melted in relaxation with each hour that flew by and I knew when I walked out the door I that WILL be back again. A friend told me about the class and I am so happy that I got to go! I am getting ready to sign up again!

I’ve taken four classes and loved everyone. Lots of fun and hard work but the blocks are so great have all four on my house.

Oh how fun it was to make my own barn quilt! So organized and all the materials were ready and available. Thank y’all so much!
