Nita's Quilt Block Holder

Nita Tieman has been one of our most prolific students.  She's painted at least a dozen blocks, some for herself, some for her lucky friends.  She decided she needed to place seasonally themed blocks on her entrance gate.  She found out that my husband had built our gate to hold a quilt block at the center.  So he built one for Nita and she's thrilled with it!  Watch for her Christmas block, coming soon!

I took a class after learning about the trail during the Houston International Quilt Show. I have not had that much fun creating something in a very long time! While I can sew, I definitely cannot paint... The instructions and materials provided during the class enabled me to create a beautiful custom quilt block that I proudly hang in my sewing studio.

My sister and I have taken the class together 7 times, sometimes with other family members also joining us. We always have an enjoyable, relaxing day and go home with a beautiful painted quilt block to treasure. The instructors are very knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. I will probably run out of places to hang my paintings before I am ready to stop painting! This is a lovely way to spend a day. Ladies--grab your sisters and besties and sign up for a class!
